A carbon steel slip on flange is a method of connecting pipes, valves, pumps, and other equipment to form a piping system. It generally has a raised face with two holes (one for the bolt and one for the gasket) and is used to seal the connection between two pieces of pipe. A slip on flange is slightly different from a weld neck flange in that it has a lower hub, which allows it to be slid over the end of the pipe before being welded in place. This makes it easier to install than a weld neck flange, but it does not provide as strong a connection. Carbon steel slip on flanges are available in a variety of sizes and can be custom-made to meet the specific needs of your piping system.
